The Reverend Derick Easter is a proud son of Rev. Dr. William and Lorene Easter, carrying forward a rich family legacy of preaching. He serves as Senior Pastor of New St. Hurricane Baptist Church in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, where under his visionary leadership the church has flourished—building a multi-million-dollar youth center, an outreach distribution center, and an outdoor fitness park to meet both spiritual and community needs.
A native of Little Rock and graduate of Central High School, Pastor Easter earned his B.A. in Psychology (cum laude, with distinction) from Philander Smith College, an M.P.A. from Webster University, and a Master of Ministry from Louisiana Baptist Seminary, and a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from Anderson University.
Nationally respected, he serves on the faculty of the National Baptist Convention USA Congress of Christian Education and speaks across the country on leadership, ministry training, media in ministry, and church strategy.
Deeply committed to community, Pastor Easter serves as a Project Consultant for the Arkansas Out of School Network. Beyond ministry, he is an avid basketball fan, movie-goer, and spades player. He cherishes time with his wife Keely. They have two children, Jasmine and William Seth.
